Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors has appointed Jesus Gonzalez Torrijos, a
former senior member of BBVA’s infrastructure team, as its new managing
Torrijos previously worked as BBVA’s global head of infrastructure
finance, as well as the bank’s head of global lending for North America.
He has also been appointed a member of Rubicon’s Dublin-based Group
During the course of his 16-year career, Torrijos has either arranged or
advised on over USD35bn (EUR27.6m) of investment in transportation, energy,
renewable energy, environmental and social infrastructure projects throughout
the Americas, Europe and Australia.
In July, Rubicon appointed former BAML director, Aeneas Griffin, as
managing director and Sean Diffney, who previously worked at Irish Bank
Resolution Corporation to the position of associate director.
Rubicon, an infrastructure advisory business, was launched by Conor Kelly (pictured), former managing director and head of global infrastructure investment at Scotia Capital, in September 2011.
